Real Stories Behind Better Money Decisions

We started nivarasoloria in 2019 because we kept seeing the same thing. Talented entrepreneurs with brilliant ideas but zero clue how to manage their cash flow. Banks weren't helping. Most accounting advice felt like legal jargon wrapped in spreadsheets.

How We Got Here

Started small. Learned a lot. Made plenty of mistakes along the way. Here's what happened when we decided to do something about financial education in Australia.

1
Early 2019

Kitchen Table Beginnings

Rhydian Coslett and I met at a startup event in Brisbane. We'd both burned through savings on failed ventures. Not because our ideas were bad, but because neither of us understood basic budgeting. We figured others probably had the same problem.

2
Late 2019

First Workshops With Real People

We ran free weekend sessions at a community center in Bundall. Seven people showed up to the first one. By the third month, we had thirty regulars asking for more advanced content. That's when we knew this could actually work.

3
2021

Building Actual Course Content

Took everything we'd learned and created structured programs. No fluff. Just practical stuff about tracking expenses, managing invoices, understanding tax obligations. We tested it with fifteen small business owners before launching publicly.

4
2023-2024

Helping More Entrepreneurs Survive

Over 200 business owners went through our programs. Some thrived. Others realized their business model needed work. Either way, they made informed decisions instead of just guessing and hoping for the best.

5
2025

Where We Are Now

We're still small. Still focused on Queensland entrepreneurs who need straightforward financial education. Our autumn 2025 programs are designed for people who are serious about understanding their numbers without needing an accounting degree.

What Drives Our Approach

These aren't corporate values plastered on a wall. They're things we actually care about when we're building courses and working with entrepreneurs.

Plain Language

Financial terms are confusing enough. We skip the jargon and explain concepts like we're talking to a friend over coffee. If something sounds complicated, we probably haven't explained it well enough yet.

Honesty About Limitations

We won't promise that our courses guarantee business success. They don't. What they do is give you tools to make smarter decisions about money. The rest depends on your business model, market conditions, and a dozen other factors.

Real Examples

Every concept we teach includes actual scenarios from Australian small businesses. Not made-up case studies. Real situations where someone had to decide between hiring help or investing in equipment. That kind of thing.

The People Teaching These Courses

Small team. Both of us have started businesses that struggled with money management. That experience shapes how we teach budgeting and financial planning.

Why We Keep Doing This

Financial stress kills good ideas. We've watched talented people give up on viable businesses because they couldn't figure out their numbers. Banks won't teach you this stuff. Most accountants bill by the hour, which gets expensive fast.

Our programs cover the fundamentals that every entrepreneur needs. Cash flow forecasting. Expense categorization. Understanding profit margins. Setting realistic financial goals. The stuff that determines whether your business survives year two.

We're not promising you'll become a millionaire. We're offering practical education that helps you make informed decisions about your business finances. That's it.
